  16. When MINPUT is accepting characters, lines of an e-mail
  17. message really, the system sometimes emits a tone from the
  18. speaker.  It happens about once in every 20 lines or so.
  19. Otherwise I do not see a pattern.  _Using MS-DOS Kermit_
  20. has no mention of this phenomenon.  Kermit can not be
  21. indicating that the input buffer is full because there is
  22. a "clear input" before each MINPUT--or do INPUT and MINPUT
  23. use different CLEAR commands?
